Song of The Week

This week’s song is from Eleanor Friedberger’s debut album Last Summer, at least on her own. She’s also in a band called the Fiery Furnaces. Lead singer Eleanor Friedberger looks as if she was taken out of the past and placed in our time, the music that accompanies her voice is very fun for the brain. It reminds me of Phil Spektor like hits from the 60’s with a bit of Bruce Springsteen. The song to me, sounds like someone is just living in the moment of a last goodbye and not worrying about the next day. I picked to share the video of the live performance just because I like it, plain and simple. The band looks like they put on a great show and they sound good live. Enjoy!
